I am amazed at the power of a FOID card. When I lived in Chicago, I tried to get buy without one after learning about them. I cam to Missouri to buy a new rifle and ammo. The asked for my drivers license. The second they saw it was Illinois, the wanted the FOID card. If I move back, which is always a good chance, I would not renew my FOID card and practice my Second Amendment right through other channels.
